Omarchy is the Arch Linux desktop I actually sit at. It is an opinionated Hyprland workstation, and version 4, Quattro, replaced the old Waybar stack with one Quickshell process for the bar, launcher, lock screen, and notifications. This tag collects the posts about living on that desktop: installing it, getting a picture on NVIDIA, changing the cursor, and installing the apps that fight the AUR.

If you are deciding whether Quattro belongs on a given homelab box, start with the comparison against Fedora 44. That page is the decision. The first-week guide is the procedure, for after you have already picked the disk. The nomodeset writeup is only for the live USB that never shows the installer. I keep those separate so a black-screen fix does not get buried under a distro argument.

The desk and the appliance are different machines on purpose. Omarchy is the seat in front of the keyboard. Fedora CoreOS is where DNS lives. A search for this tag will not teach you Pi-hole. It will teach you the update menu, Limine, and the workarounds for Resolve and a tarball IDE. The CachyOS and Windows 11 posts are the other forks in the road. Read those when you are choosing a path, then come back here when you are installing.
